First trip out for halibut

First trip of the year today, we saw a lot of bait show up in the South Bay with warm water in the high 50s. Also small anchovies in our harbor. These are all good signs for the start of halibut season. 
We landed 6 halibut and 1 striped bass and threw back about 25 small fish. We didn’t land very many keepers today but all of the signs are here for fishing to get hot in a couple days to a week.
